The following courses are designed for operators with varying levels of experience. Each course ensures that the operator is capable of the necessary skills to operate a fork lift truck, both safely and competently. All course durations are in accordance with HSA guidelines. Certification is valid for 3 years.

Novice:
This course is designed for the person with little or no experience who wishes to acquire the necessary skills to operate a lift truck competently and understand their responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2005.
The novice course covers:
- Legal obligations.
- The operator safety code.
- Pre-use inspection.
- Basic steering exercises.
- Battery care and maintenance inspection.
- Manoeuvring the forklift in confined spaces.
- Pivoting the truck.
- Hydraulic systems.
- Forklift stability and capacity plates.
- Stacking at low level, eye level and high level.
- Safe operating practices.
- Theory test.
- Practical test.

Experienced Operators Course:
This course is designed for existing operators who have never received formal training or certification, who wishes to acquire the necessary skills to operate a lift truck competently and understand their responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2005.
The existing course covers:

- Pre-use inspection.
- Battery care and maintenance inspection.
- Manoeuvring the forklift in confined spaces.

Refresher Course:
This course is for an operator who has previously passed a practical and theory test on the machine, and whose certificate is due to expire.
The refresher course covers:
